Harassment and Discrimination

EPS provides courses for managers that include a thorough review and discussion of all types of illegal harassment and discrimination, including that which is based on race, religion, national origin, sex, pregnancy, age, disability, and the state/local-protected categories relevant to a given workforce. Courses may be further customized to include a look at some lesser-known categories of discrimination, leave issues under family and medical leave laws, and Workers’ Compensation, as well as what behavior, although not illegal, is simply inadvisable in the workplace. Courses typically examine issues of liability, defense, prevention, and appropriate handling of complaints and investigations.

Employees will learn what is and is not appropriate behavior, review what is expected under organizational policy, be instructed on how not to discriminate, and learn what to do if harassing behavior occurs.
