Mediation / Conflict Resolution

Management and human resources professionals spend an enormous amount of time handling conflict, employee disputes and litigation. EPS offers a variety of support options for employers seeking to maximize productivity of the workforce and prevent litigation through effective employee dispute resolution.
  • HR and Staff Training on Dispute Resolution. EPS offers customized training and coaching on effective conflict resolution. These programs facilitate enhanced employee communication and minimize stressful and disruptive organizational conflict.
  • Examples of such programs include:
    • Leadership, Problem Solving & Communication Skills
    • Managing Conflict in the Workplace
    • Anger Management
    • Executive One-on-One Coaching
  • Integrated Conflict Management Systems. As experts in conflict management, EPS has the resources to assist organizations in the design and implementation of a robust system of dispute resolution policies and practices. EPS is also available to assist in assessing the current efficacy of existing programs to ensure they meet the needs and interests of the workforce.
  • Mediation & Facilitation. An experienced EPS mediator clarifies the dispute and helps parties to identify concerns and resolve problems. This is accomplished either through a formal step-by-step mediation process or through the facilitation of communication among the parties.
  • Binding Arbitration & Private Judge. Binding arbitration is a formalized process utilizing an EPS Arbitrator or Private Judge as the decision-maker following presentation of evidence and legal arguments. During Neutral Evaluation & Fact-Finding, an EPS consultant is retained to provide a formal confidential assessment of the dispute, including strengths and weaknesses of both sides of the conflict. The consultant reviews information presented and makes written findings on the disputed facts underlying the problem.
  • The Special Master & Discovery Referee process is similar to fact-finding, but it is traditionally a public, involuntary and binding process. The EPS consultant typically submits a report with recommendations to the court.
