Nicole Harvat Armstrong, Esq. joined EPS as a consultant in 2009 and currently has more than 14 years of employment law experience. She began her legal career with the U.S. Department of Labor in New Orleans, drafting opinions for District Chief Judge Lee Romero, Jr., involving traditional labor-related federal statutes and regulations. In 2001, Nicole moved to San Francisco, where she joined a small boutique firm as an Associate Attorney representing and defending employers in discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and retaliation litigation.
She later joined Gordon & Rees, LLP as Senior Counsel where, in addition to defending employers in employment lawsuits, she conducted internal investigations of employee complaints, created and revised company policies, counseled clients on hiring and termination decisions, disciplinary issues, leave policies, and documenting performance problems, and developed and presented live training on employment-related topics. Just prior to joining EPS, Nicole worked in-house, advising numerous clients, including Fortune 100 companies, on best employment practices and legal issues, as well as spearheading investigations of employee complaints and creating and presenting training seminars for human resource business teams and all levels of management on employment law fundamentals.
Nicole received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of California, Irvine. She earned her law degree from Loyola University School of Law in 1998. |
