Employment Practices Solutions, Inc. (EPS) Commemorates 30 Years of Service Excellence

The story of EPS began in 1996 when the founders began with a forward-thinking vision. They believed deeply that a more balanced work model that honored both work and family life could exist for everyone, but especially women attorneys. They also believed in building respect - the timeless and universal core value for which EPS has become known.

What started as human resources support for small companies in the Dallas area soon expanded into nationwide investigations, training, consulting, and policy work for a wide variety of organizations, including Fortune 500s and law firms. EPS then expanded services to include expert witness testimony and executive coaching, while also earning its Women‑Owned Business certification and a private investigator’s license in Texas. In the early years, the team traveled the country attending trade shows and even authored a textbook on preventing workplace harassment—reinforcing EPS’s commitment to thought leadership, education, and company growth.

Founder Laurie Jones, Esq., stated, “When we started EPS, I didn’t even think about what it would look like in 30 years. It’s surreal to think about how many changes we’ve withstood while remaining very much the same."

Several long-tenured Consultants are still part of EPS today, embodying the loyalty, shared purpose, and high standards that have defined the company for three decades. As EPS celebrates its 30-year milestone, its journey stands as a testament to vision, courage, and the belief that a more balanced way of working is truly achievable, and that respectful workplaces benefit everyone. 

Through the years, EPS has attracted other highly talented Consultants, building upon the stellar reputation and excellence of the company, and  carrying out thousands of employment investigations, consulting projects, and training engagements. 

Founder Pamela Hutchins, Esq., was asked whether she would do anything differently in retrospect, and replied, “You make zero of the shots you don’t take. Every path we’ve taken has led to growth and learning. No regrets!”

Today, the company is a fully remote organization, providing the ability to draw talent and serve clients nationwide with immense flexibility. As of 2026, EPS continues to grow while staying true to its roots: flexible, reliable, and deeply committed to helping those we serve build more respectful work environments.
